The Denso™ Void Filler Type I / Steelcoat 50™ System is a purpose-designed system for the protection of complex pipe fittings, flanges, and other irregular or recessed steel surfaces prone to moisture ingress and corrosion. This system utilizes Denso™ Void Filler Type I, a hand-applied, non-setting mastic compound used to fill cavities and crevices, eliminating water and air pockets where corrosion typically initiates.

After the voids are filled, a corrosion-inhibiting petrolatum tape (such as Denso™ Tape) is applied, followed by an outer protective coating—typically a UV- and weather-resistant Steelcoat finish—to complete the Steelcoat 50™ System. This ensures full encapsulation of the structure, sealing out environmental contaminants and delivering long-term corrosion protection even in aggressive industrial or marine environments.
