Burned Wood House
Burned Wood House
At Burned Wood House in Denmark, Topcret’s EcoCemento® in Blanco Roto brings warmth and refinement to a modern timber retreat—seamlessly blending sustainable surfaces with the quiet elegance of Nordic design.

A modern wooden house, half hidden by pine trees, is the smaller brother of an existing summerhouse in Nordsjælland, Denmark. With Topcret EcoCemento® as the main finish, the interior is defined by openings towards the sculptural pine trees, in built niches, and the shadows cast by the moving shutter.

The design team aimed to seamlessly blend modernity with the house’s original charm, creating a space that would captivate both residents and visitors alike.

Topcret, a pioneer in microcement applications, emerged as the ideal choice for the project. Renowned for its versatility, durability, and aesthetic possibilities, Topcret EcoCemento® proved to be the perfect canvas for the designers to realise their vision.

EcoCemento® is zero VOCs, 100% water-based, locally handcrafted, made to order and EPD1 certified. Through all these features, EcoCemento® complies with the WELL2 Building Standard, LEED3, and BREEAM4 giving the maximum amount of points these certifications offer. This unique combination makes it an ideal choice for creating intricate designs while maintaining a commitment to sustainable luxury.

The interior transformation began with meticulous planning, ensuring that every inch of the Burned Wood House would perfectly balance contemporary design and historical context. Topcret EcoCemento®, with its ability to adhere to various surfaces, allowed for a seamless application on floors, walls, and even ceilings.

The choice of “Blanco Roto” colour for the microcement added a touch of sophistication, paying homage to the house’s history while introducing a modern and elegant atmosphere. The smooth, polished finish of Topcret’s EcoCemento® not only enhanced the visual appeal but also contributed to a sense of spaciousness, making the interiors feel more open and inviting.

The Burned Wood House project in Denmark stands as a shining example of how innovation and creativity can turn great designs into enjoyable spaces. Topcret EcoCemento® not only revived the interiors but elevated them to new heights, creating a space that harmoniously fuses history with contemporary design. This success story reinforces Topcret’s position as a leader in the world of architectural solutions, offering endless possibilities for those who dare to dream.
